The Sterling Aventura is a luxury apartment community with 24-hour staffing and a worry-free lifestyle designed to provide seniors with as much care, or as much independence, as they desire. And because The Sterling is family owned and operated, daily operations receive closer scrutiny than assisted living communities owned by out-of-town corporations. We know this close supervision and attention to detail results in better service for our residents.

Comfort, peace of mind, and above all, the safety and convenience of our residents are our priorities. Putting the residents’ needs first shapes all we do from the services and conveniences we offer, to our open dining policy, and taking extra care in the planning of activities to keep our residents active and engaged while providing peace of mind and personal dignity.

What types of apartments are available at The Sterling Aventura?

Each residential studio or one bedroom apartment is attractive, spacious, and airy. They were designed to provide maximum safety, comfort, convenience, and privacy. Careful forethought in their design provided handicapped accessible doorways and baths; ample closets and storage; kitchens with microwaves and handy under-the-counter refrigerators. Each oversized bathroom boasts a mirrored vanity, wheelchair accessible commode, and a built-in shower with safety grab rails and a bench shower seat. For additional security, each resident is provided with a state-of-the-art emergency call pendant so help is always within reach. Bathrooms and living rooms are also equipped with pull cords to summon help should it be necessary

What will my monthly fee include?

Everything you’d expect from the Sterling Aventura – and then some! For one monthly fee, you'll enjoy three meals per day, individually controlled air conditioning and heat, daily housekeeping and linen service, transportation to scheduled appointments and shopping, all utilities (except long distance telephone), pest control service, complete interior and exterior maintenance and much more.

What types of activities and social programs do you offer?

The Sterling Aventura employs social directors and activity coordinators that are caring, compassionate and always professional. Aside from our activity center, our amenities include an exercise/therapeutic rehabilitation center with exercise equipment for the integration of mind, body and spirit. We provide weekly dance parties with live entertainment, day and night outings to shows and fairs, exercise programs, bingo, card clubs, book review clubs, gaming opportunities, cooking classes and fund raisers, and that’s just some of the activities one will find at The Sterling. In addition, The Sterling is a corporate member of the Jewish Community Center, which is 3 minutes away from our facility. There, residents may participate, at no extra charge, in a multitude of outside activities and events such as: crafts, exercise programs (including swimming indoors), bridge games and lessons, dance, spiritual studies and more.

Will I have to pay an endowment fee before I move to The Sterling Aventura?

No. The Sterling does not require the substantial prepayments or endowments generally associated with other types of senior communities.

Does The Sterling offer assisted and independent living?

Yes! In fact, we offer the very finest available. Every aspect of our community has been meticulously planned to provide discriminating seniors the luxury and gracious lifestyle they expect and deserve.

Do you offer transportation?

Yes. The Sterling offers clean and comfortable transportation in our company vehicles driven by caring professionals. We happily take you within a 5 mile distance of The Sterling,for all scheduled trips.

May I entertain guests at The Sterling Aventura?

Of course you can; it's your home! Your friends and family - including the grandkids - are always welcome. We offer guest meals and accommodations, just let us know when you are expecting guests and we will handle the rest.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are welcome at The Sterling – though we ask they are small and easy to care for pets. In other words, no Tigers, please.

Are there assigned seats in the dining room?

No! You may request any particular table or seating arrangement that suits you, but they are not assigned. Feel free to mingle and make new friends at meal times. Simply let us know in advance if you will have a guest for dinner, we will take it from there.

Is The Sterling Aventura open to residents with particular challenges?

Of course! For residents who require a higher level of care due to dementia or other cognitive challenges, our Sterling Pavilion is a secure, self-contained area with its own private dining room. The Pavilion provides around-the-clock attention and programs geared to providing stimulation and social interaction.
